Mulberry silk is woven from the cocoons of domesticated silkworms that feed on the leaves of the mulberry tree. It’s recognized as one of the most awesome fabrics in the world — fine and light yet exceptionally strong and durable.
The weight of the silk in our panties is 22 Momme (mm) the highest quality silk 6A — a durable and lustrous weave. It’s also hypoallergenic, completely odorless, and certified Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® (tested for harmful substances).
MOMME SAY WHAT?
Momme(mm) is a measurement of the unit of weight of silk. The higher the momme, the more durable, dense, and luxurious the weave. Most silk pillowcases are 19 momme or less. But Anna O'Dor® 100% pure mulberry Silk Panties are 22 momme, ensuring a lifespan that is about 50 percent longer.
We only use the highest grade 6A long fiber silk to create one of the most luxurious, temperatures- and moisture-regulating silk panties in the world. Silk grades are also further differentiated by number - from 1 to 6, with 6A being the highest grade of silk on the market. Only 5% of the world's silk meets the 6A standard.
